This project is actually the second house we have landscaped for these particular clients. They enjoyed the first landscape so much that they wanted to bring some of the key elements to their new home.

We worked with the clients throughout the winter to come up with a design solution that would meet their needs and at the same time accentuate the architecture of the house. We kept nice straight lines and simple shapes that blend in with the contemporary style of house. No issues were encountered during this construction, we were very well prepared and had all the materials chosen beforehand. We’ve created ample lounging areas but left enough room for a swimming pool and planting beds. We’ve created accent walls and pillars along with a custom made aluminum/ wood structure to create a focal point visible from the indoor living room. We’ve also added a built-in bar using a granite counter top attached to the accent wall. Two fire and water bowls were installed on the accent pillars to create a lively night feature. To better profit from the outdoor living spaces at night, a low voltage LED lighting system was also installed. We’ve also landscaped the upper level terrace with Azek decking which is a maintenance free product and rubberized tiles for the spa area. A custom shed was built in order to hide the pool equipment. The materials we chose for the shed blend in with the fence and the house giving it a simple and natural look.

In the front yard we’ve combined both asphalt and interlocking stone for the driveway that gives the house a welcoming feel. We’ve also created a Japanese garden in the front courtyard with a custom made coper Japanese maple water tree as a focal point which brings a soothing sound when entering the house. We’ve built some custom pillars with glass blocks to provide some subtle night lighting.

We believe that this project is an award winner for many reasons. First off, the design of the landscaping reflects the architecture of the house. It also allowed for all the client’s desired spaces and structures to be implemented. The customers are beyond satisfied with what we have accomplished.
